Working With Non-Profits

v1_resize_clear.jpg

We just wrapped up a project for an amazing non profit and it has us reeling in the best way. Working with non profit partners gives us a little bit of a high. We’re just so excited and energized about the organization, the project and the potential impact of our work. Since we’re still riding that high, we thought we’d share it, or at least our feelings about it, with you.

What are you, a couple of Robin Hoods?

Working with non-profits has been a priority of ours since we opened our doors. It’s a struggle some times, not the projects themselves, but making sure that we can set aside the time and resources to take them on and deliver. Because it isn’t enough to just make something fancy for a non-profit and send them on their way with their new toy, we strive to create something strategic and powerful, and also equip them to use it effectively.

Video is a powerful, versatile storytelling tool, one that non-profits deserve just as much as Mr. Big Brand. But not every non-profit has an internal marketing team and those that do, well, that team is swamped. So when we partner with a non-profit, we partner with them. We consult, we research, we build special packages and budgets, we guide them through the entire process. Those with a marketing team might need less guidance, but the commitment to collaboration remains strong. Our goal is to deliver a project package that performs for their unique challenge and purpose.

Added benefits for non-profit partners

Real relationships
When we work with a non-profit, we’re all in. We’re also all-inclusive. The Banditry Co. is always full-service, we have creative direction, copywriting, design, illustration, storyboards, motion graphics, animation, casting, etc all covered on our staff full time. So, when a non-profit chooses to partner with us, they get to know and work directly with the entire team working on their project, and we dig-in and really get to know their organization.

Performance enhancing packages
Being full-service also allows us to offer a kick ass final product and the guidance, confidence and tools to put it into action. We have the in-house capabilities and expertise to consult and execute on every aspect of strategy, messaging, development and production of a video marketing solution. More than a single video, we can deliver custom graphics, GIFs, copy and other assets for use throughout an organization’s materials. From initial approach to final launch, our team builds packages that perform. (See our portfolio for an example of such a package.)

Special pricing
’nuff said.

What’s in it for us?

We’re altruistic angels with record-breaking big hearts, but while we actively pursue non-profit collaborations because we’re genuinely passionate about the work, we also get a little something extra out of it.

Full disclosure: we get to have fun.

Working with non-profits is incredibly rewarding, for the soul and for the imagination. With our non-profit clients we often get to play, stretch our wings, and consult on and create something spectacular…while solving a very real, important challenge.

A recent example

The aforementioned recent project that we were delighted to be a part of, was for Caring Ambassadors, an organization that provides information, tools and resources to help improve the quality of life of individuals with chronic health conditions. We had the honor of building a small awareness campaign for their Hepatitis C initiative. The goal was to educate a diverse audience on the scope of the disease and to recent updates on their rights to treatment.

To get the word out in the most efficient and engaging manner, we created a custom, 3D animated video as the cornerstone of the campaign. We then equipped the Caring Ambassadors team with the additional tools and insights they would need to launch and utilize the video effectively. The full package included:

A library of custom characters to integrate and use across other digital and print marketing materials.

A fully produced 3D animated video for circulation via web, social, email, etc.

Consultation on social media roll-out strategy plus the custom graphics, GIFs and copy for that roll-out

A poster version of the video’s message to circulate to partner organizations and practitioners offices
